Job summary

Ozcare is offering a casual opportunity for Care Assistants to support clients throughout the Rockhampton region. You will provide high-quality personal care, assist with daily activities, and help clients maintain independence in a compassionate team environment.

Applicants should have a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability), First Aid/CPR, and a current Police Screening. The role requires a reliable vehicle and willingness to work a varied roster.

Ozcare has a casual opportunity available for Care Assistants supporting our clients across the Rockhampton region.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care

How You'll Benefit

You'll become part of the Ozcare family, and in addition to the training and support that you would expect, you will also receive:

• $46.67 per hour + Shift Penalty Rates
• Reimbursement for kilometres driven ($1.14 per KM) and travel time between clients

Role Requirements

Candidates with availability to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week will be held in high regard.

• In possession of a reliable roadworthy vehicle, with current registration and comprehensive insuranceVehicle must be safe, well-maintained, and suitably accessible to support clients with varying mobility needs to enter and exit comfortably.
• Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) & Pertussis (Whooping Cough).
• Current Police Screening Certificate (valid within past 3 years)
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing / Disability)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Current Queensland driver's licence
• Good computer & mobile device skills
