Job summary

Ozcare Cairns Aged Care at Home is seeking part-time Care Assistants to support our clients across the Atherton area. You must be living in the Atherton area.

As a Care Assistant you'll provide care in line with personalised plans, help clients maintain independence, assist with daily living and medications, and work within a holistic team.

We offer training, uniform and laundry allowance, travel time between clients, and an Employee Assistance Program as part of our supportive Ozcare family.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care.
• Current Police Screening Certificate.
• A reliable roadworthy vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insurance.
• Current Queensland driver's licence.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
• Immunisation or willingness to be vaccinated against MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella and Pertussis.

Responsibilities

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans.

• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities.
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care

Role Requirements
