Job summary

Ozcare is seeking Care Assistants to support clients in the Gladstone region on a casual basis. You will provide high-quality care aligned with individual care plans and help clients maintain independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, medication support, and collaborating with the care team to address all client needs. A warm, flexible attitude and commitment to wellbeing are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing / Disability) required.
• Current Police Screening Certificate (valid within past 3 years).
• Proof of immunity or willingness to vaccinate against MMR, Varicella & Pertussis.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
• Current Queensland driver’s licence.

Ozcarehas a casual opportunityavailable for Care Assistants supporting our clients within the Gladstone region.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients.Your tasks will include:

Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans

Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence

Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities

Assisting clients with their medication requirements

Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care

How You'll Benefit

You'll become part of the Ozcare family, and in addition to the training and support that you would expect, you will also receive:

$46.67 per hour + Shift Penalty Rates

Reimbursement for kilometres driven ($1.14 per KM) and travel time between clients

Role Requirements

Candidates with availability to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week are highly desirable.

In possession of a reliable roadworthy vehicle, with current registration and comprehensive insurance

Vehicle must be safe, well-maintained, and suitably accessible to support clients with varying mobility needs to enter and exit comfortably.

Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) &Pertussis (Whooping Cough).
