Job summary

Ozcare's Aged Care at Home Branch in Hervey Bay is seeking Casual Care Assistants to support local clients with compassionate, person-centred care.

As a Care Assistant you will follow personalised care plans, assist with daily living activities, support independence, and help with medication administration, while collaborating with the care team to deliver safe, quality services.

This role requires a caring manner, reliability, and flexibility to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care (or equivalent) is required.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar aged care role is preferred.
• Good computer and mobile device skills to support documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support to clients according to personalised care plans.
• Assist clients to develop skills and independence.
• Attend to personal care needs such as showering and dressing.
• Assist with medication requirements.
• Work as part of a holistic care team to support clients' overall wellbeing.

Our Ozcare Aged Care at Home Branch based in Hervey Bay are looking for Casual Care Assistants to provide support to clients in the area.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care

Role Requirements

• National Police Check (valid within last 3 years)
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care (or equivalent)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• A reliable roadworthy vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insurance
• Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) & Pertussis (Whooping Cough).
• Good computer and mobile device skills
