Job summary

Ozcare is seeking casual Care Assistants to support clients across the Rockhampton region. You will provide high-quality care aligned with personalised plans, assist with daily living activities, and support clients to maintain independence.

Role requires a reliable vehicle, immunisation readiness, and current First Aid/CPR certificates. You will join a caring team focused on wellbeing, with reimbursement for travel and kilometres, and uniform allowances.

Qualifications

• Warm, caring and positive personality suited to client-focused care.
• Reliable vehicle ownership and ability to travel between clients.
• Current immunisation or willingness to vaccinate as per policy.
• Licensed to drive in Queensland with roadworthy vehicle and insurance.

Responsibilities

Ozcarehas a casual opportunityavailable for Care Assistants supporting our clients across the Rockhampton region.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients.Your tasks will include:

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans

• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence

• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities

• Assisting clients with their medication requirements

• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care

Role Requirements

• Candidates with availability to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week will be held in high regard.

• In possession of a reliable roadworthy vehicle, with current registration and comprehensive insurance

• Vehicle must be safe, well-maintained, and suitably accessible to support clients with varying mobility needs to enter and exit comfortably.

• Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) &Pertussis (Whooping Cough).

• Current Police Screening Certificate (valid within past 3 years)

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing / Disability)

• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates

• Current Queensland driver's licence

• Good computer & mobile device skills
