Job summary

Ozcare is seeking Casual Care Assistants in Hervey Bay to provide support to clients in the local area. You will follow personalised care plans, help clients build independence, assist with daily activities and medications, and collaborate with a holistic care team.

The role requires a caring nature, relevant experience, flexibility for varied rosters, and good computer/mobile skills. Training and support are provided as part of joining the Ozcare family.

Responsibilities

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans.
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence.

Our Ozcare Aged Care at Home Branch based in Hervey Bay are looking for Casual Care Assistants to provide support to clients in the area.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care

Your Attributes

• Previous experience in a similar role
• A warm and caring nature

Role Requirements

• National Police Check (valid within last 3 years)
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care (or equivalent)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• A reliable roadworthy vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insurance
• Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) & Pertussis (Whooping Cough).
• Good computer and mobile device skills
