Job summary

Ozcare has multiple permanent part-time opportunities for Care Assistants supporting our clients within the Emerald region (Capella and the surrounding area).

You will look after clients, following personalised care plans and assisting with daily activities, mobility and medication where required.

Ozcare has multiple permanent part-time opportunities available for Care Assistants supporting our clients within the Emerald region (servicing Capella and the surrounding area).

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients.Your tasks will include:

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
• Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care

How You'll Benefit

You'll become part of the Ozcare family, and in addition to the training and support that you would expect, you will also receive:

• $37.34 per hour + Access to Not-For-Profit Salary Packaging, Novated Leases + Meal Entertainment Card
• 5 weeks annual leave as standard + 14% annual leave loading
• Reimbursement for kilometres driven ($1.14 per KM) and travel time between clients
• Uniform and laundry allowance
• Employee Assistance Program

Role Requirements

• Candidates with availability to work a roster within Monday to Friday are highly desirable.
• In possession of a reliable roadworthy vehicle, with current registration and comprehensive insurance
• Vehicle must be safe, well-maintained, and suitably accessible to support clients with varying mobility needs to enter and exit comfortably.
• Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) &Pertussis (Whooping Cough).
• Current Police Screening Certificate (valid within past 3 years)
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing / Disability) or equivalent
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Current Queensland driver's licence
