Salesforce is seeking strategic and passionate Account Executives to join our Canberra-based Public Sector team, leading the charge in delivering next‑generation technology solutions to federal government agencies across Australia.

As an Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle, engage with stakeholders across Defence, Home Affairs, Health, Justice, Finance and other agencies, and collaborate with Solution Engineers and partners to co-create tailored, value‑driven pilots and

Qualifications

• Proven success as an Account Executive or similar role in SaaS or enterprise tech.
• Experience selling into the public sector and understanding government buying cycles.
• Trusted advisor capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Solution Engineers, product teams, and customer success.
• Strong business acumen across IT, operations, and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborative, high-integrity, team-driven sales mindset.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of Salesforce solutions across federal public sector agencies.
• Prospect and develop new business opportunities with government clients.
• Manage complex sales cycles from prospecting to close with a consultative approach.
• Partner with Solution Engineers, Industry Specialists, Customer Success, and partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across federal agencies.
• Understand policy, compliance, procurement, and security requirements.
• Stay ahead of trends in AI and automation shaping public sector operations.
• Represent Salesforce at industry events and stakeholder engagements.
