Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Café Manager or similar hospitality leadership role.
• Experience in high-volume café, restaurant, or fast-casual operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with staff development focus.
• Knowledge of rostering, labour management, stock control, and budgeting.
• Understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.

We're looking for an exceptional Café Manager to lead our team, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and drive operational excellence in our star Adelaide Cafe at Tea Tree Plaza.

About the Role

As a Café Manager at Zitto, you are the heartbeat of the café. You lead from the front, inspire your team, and create an environment where both customers and staff love to be.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong hospitality expertise, exceptional people skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume café environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of baristas and front-of-house staff.

Foster a positive, energetic, and supportive workplace culture.

Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor team members to deliver exceptional service standards.

Lead by example and maintain a strong presence on the café floor.

Customer Experience

Deliver outstanding hospitality and ensure every customer enjoys a memorable experience.

Build strong relationships with regular customers and the local community.

Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.

Create a welcoming "locals serving locals" atmosphere.

Operations Management

Manage daily café operations to ensure efficient and smooth service.

Oversee opening and closing procedures.

Monitor and maintain café presentation, cleanliness, and operational standards.

Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations.

Financial & Business Performance

Manage labour costs, wage percentages, and roster efficiency.

Control stock ordering, inventory management, and cost of goods sold (COGS).

Monitor café performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.

Minimise waste and maximise operational efficiency.

Lead the team through busy service periods while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction.

Ensure coffee, food, and service standards consistently meet Zitto's expectations.

Support barista operations when required and maintain strong product knowledge.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Café Manager or similar hospitality leadership role.

Experience managing high-volume café, restaurant, or fast-casual hospitality operations.

Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.

Solid understanding of café operations, food service, and customer experience management.

Barista experience and coffee knowledge preferred.

Experience with rostering, labour management, stock control, and budgeting.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Availability to work across a flexible 7-day roster.
