Job summary

Tide Café is seeking an experienced Café Manager with strong barista skills to lead our busy Townsville venue and oversee daily operations on the floor.

You will manage a front-of-house team, maintain coffee quality, and ensure excellent customer service in a daytime-focused, full-time role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Café Manager or similar hospitality management role
• 2+ years hands-on barista experience in a busy café
• Confidence preparing high-quality espresso in high-volume settings
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Hands-on approach; lead by example
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience with rostering, labour management and stock control
• Able to stay organised and calm during busy service periods
• Proactive attitude and problem-solving skills
• Genuine passion for hospitality, food and coffee

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor and actively participate in daily service

• A hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience with rostering, labour management and stock control
