Job summary

Salexo Consulting in Melbourne seeks a Business Development Manager to drive modular and prefabricated building solutions. You will engage developers, architects, consultants and government to identify where a modular approach fits and win projects.

You’ll own the early-stage opportunity development, build relationships and run commercial conversations through to tender and conversion, collaborating with design and estimating teams for right-fit solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in BDM or project sales and consultative selling.
• Ability to navigate longer sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong capability to discuss design, feasibility, cost and delivery.
• Understanding how projects progress from concept to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business across residential, commercial, education, community and specialist projects.
• Build relationships with developers, architects, consultants, government and other stakeholders.
• Identify projects early and engage before specifications are locked in.
• Discuss design, feasibility, cost, compliance and delivery with clients.
• Develop opportunities from initial enquiry through to proposal, tender and conversion.
• Collaborate with internal design, estimating and project teams to tailor solutions.
• Prepare and present proposals, EOIs and tender responses.
• Represent the business at industry events and expand the market network.
