Job summary

Salexo Consulting is seeking a technically minded Business Development Manager to drive growth within the building materials and roofing sector across Australia. You will engage architects, engineers, builders and roofing professionals, translating project requirements into specifications and commercial opportunities.

In this role you will identify specification opportunities, present technical solutions and develop new business while maintaining strong relationships with key market players.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales, business development or building products.
• Strong knowledge of roofing materials, systems and accessories.
• Experience dealing with architects, engineers, builders or construction professionals.
• Confident conducting product and specification discussions.
• Ability to understand project requirements and recommend suitable products.
• Strong commercial sales and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage opportunities.
• Current Australian driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across the roofing and construction market.
• Build and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, builders and contractors.
• Identify upcoming projects and specification opportunities.
• Conduct technical product and specification discussions.
• Provide customers with appropriate product and application solutions.
• Develop existing accounts while actively pursuing new business.
• Prepare quotations and follow opportunities through to completion.
• Work closely with internal sales and technical teams.
• Maintain a strong presence in the market through regular customer visits.
• Manage and develop an active sales pipeline.
