This full time role, managed by The Ascott Limited, focuses on growing accommodation, corporate, group and conferencing business for lyf Elizabeth Melbourne, while supporting sales opportunities across both lyf properties in Melbourne.

lyf Elizabeth Melbourne reopened in December 2025 and is now seeking an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Manager to join our crew.

Managed by The Ascott Limited, this full time role will focus on growing accommodation, corporate, group and conferencing business for lyf Elizabeth Melbourne, while supporting sales opportunities across both lyf properties in Melbourne.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow market share across both lyf properties in Melbourne

Driving corporate, accommodation, group, conferencing and event business while proactively identifying and converting new opportunities

Building strong relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, event organisers and industry partners to generate repeat and new business

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Proven experience in business development, hotel sales or account management, ideally within hospitality, accommodation, conferencing or events

Demonstrated ability to generate leads, manage a sales pipeline and convert opportunities into business

Strong relationship building, negotiation, presentation and communication skills

A proactive, organised and results focused approach, with the ability to collaborate across multiple properties and departments
