Genuine pathway to Business Development Manager
Gain Recruitment is partnering with a growing and highly regarded construction business based in Port Melbourne to appoint a Business Development Executive to their expanding sales team.
This isn't a role where you'll be left on your own with a phone and a list of numbers.
You'll work closely alongside an experienced Sales Manager and Business Development Manager, learning how to identify opportunities, build relationships, open doors and ultimately develop into a successful BDM yourself.
We're looking for someone hungry, determined and commercially minded who wants an opportunity to prove themselves.
Your initial focus will be supporting the business development team to identify and engage new channel partners, generate opportunities and secure meetings for the senior BDM team.
You'll be responsible for researching prospective partners, making initial contact, starting conversations and building a pipeline of new relationships.
As your knowledge, confidence and relationships develop, you'll be given more responsibility with the intention of progressing you into a Business Development Manager position.
We’re less concerned about having the perfect CV and more interested in finding someone with the right attitude.
You’ll suit this opportunity if you’re:
Previous experience in sales, business development, lead generation, account management, recruitment, real estate, property or another customer‑facing environment would be advantageous, but attitude and drive will be equally important.
The biggest attraction here is where the role can take you.
You’ll be joining a supportive sales environment where you’ll have experienced people around you to learn from every day.
Rather than needing to already be an established BDM, you’ll have the opportunity to learn the process, develop your commercial skills, build confidence and ultimately progress into a BDM position.
For someone ambitious who has been waiting for an opportunity to break into business development, this could be an excellent next step.
