Qualifications

• 2–3 years end-to-end mortgage processing experience is required.

We’re looking for an experienced Broker Assistant (end to end) to support our Lending Advisors in delivering exceptional client outcomes across the end‑to‑end mortgage lending journey for all transaction such as residential and commercial mortgages.

This role is ideal for a high‑performing lending professional who thrives in a fast‑paced brokerage environment and takes pride in quality, compliance and consistency.

The Role

Working closely with our Lending Advisors, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring loan applications are prepared, assessed and progressed to the highest standard, always in line with industry and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting Lending Advisors in preparing and packaging high‑quality loan submissions for Residential and Commercial applications
• Adhering to all relevant regulatory, NCCP and BID obligations,
• Assisting in delivering optimal client outcomes across the full customer journey (lead through to settlement)
• Verifying clients’ financial positions and supporting documentation, including PAYG and self‑employed income documents
• Understanding of company structures and income document such as company financial statements (Profit/Loss and Balance Sheets) and tax returns to identify non‑cash expenses
• Preparing, reviewing and verifying loan applications to ensure accuracy, completeness and approval readiness
• Managing loan applications proactively through all stages of the process, including lender follow‑up, valuations, conditional approvals, formal approvals and settlements.
• Maintaining the integrity of CRM systems, customer data and filing processes
• Demonstrating strong knowledge of current lender policies, products and procedures
• Liaising with lenders, valuers and clients
• Collaborating effectively with the broader Lending Association team and LA Group

About You

• 2-3 years end to end mortgage processing experience (a must)
• Experience in the banking and finance industry, with a focus on lending, ideally in both residential and commercial
• Working knowledge of the Australian banking industry, housing market and regulatory environment
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with an exceptional attention to detail
