Qualifications

• Available for early starts from 6:30am, including weekends and school holidays.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Strong hospitality focus with attention to detail.
• Familiar with food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the breakfast service.
• Prepare, cook and present breakfast.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and café.
• Take guest orders, process payments via POS, and serve food and beverages.
• Keep food safety standards and hygiene protocols.
• Set up and replenish continental breakfast area.
• Monitor inventory and assist with stock rotation.

Backed by a well-established group of hospitality professionals, we’re now extending our offering to include a cooked breakfast service for our valued guests.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Breakfast Cook to operate our breakfast service on the weekends from 6:30am to 11:30am. This role is ideal for someone who is looking for some extra hours or weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and close the café and breakfast kitchen
• Prepare, cook and present breakfast.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and café area
• Take guest orders, process payments via POS, and serve food and beverages
• Maintain food safety standards and adhere to hygiene protocols
• Set up, replenish, and pack down continental buffet breakfast area
• Monitor inventory and assist with stock rotation and shopping lists

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience as a cook or breakfast attendant essential
• Certifications: Ideally hold Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, Food Handling Certificate, and RSA (or be willing to obtain)
• Availability: Must be available for early starts (from 6:30am), including weekends and school holidays
• Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable and self-motivated
• Attitude: A genuine passion for hospitality, great attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
• Compliance: Understanding of food authority regulations and safe food handling
