Minor Hotels is seeking a passionate Commis Chef – Breakfast to join AVANI Cypress Lakes Resort in New South Wales. This full-time role supports breakfast service, prepares dishes and maintains hygiene standards.

You will work 5:30am–1:30pm with weekend availability, collaborating with Front and Back of House. A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is required, along with HACCP awareness. We offer career growth and extensive staff perks.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Understanding of HACCP, OH&S, and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Prior experience in a similar role, ideally in hotels or high-volume settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and efficiently, even under pressure.
• Flexible availability to work weekends.
• Own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver a high-quality breakfast service.
• Handle opening preparation and station setup.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
• Assist in developing menu items and recipes.
