Job summary

Compass is seeking a hands-on Branch Manager in Melbourne to coordinate the preparation, delivery, and collection of our vehicle fleet. You will lead a small local team, drive operational excellence and ensure exceptional service for clients and referral partners.

You’ll manage branch operations, ensure vehicle readiness, and maintain safety and compliance while delivering hands-on customer service and effective problem resolution. A proactive leader with logistics experience will fit well.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a face-to-face customer service role.
• Experience leading a small team is preferred.
• Strong communication, logistics, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of computer literacy; comfortable with multiple systems.
• Experience in the rental, fleet, or vehicle industry is advantageous.
• Understanding of logistics in the motor trade, smash repair, or dealerships is ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation, delivery, return and maintenance of Compass vehicles.
• Manage daily workflows and support team performance.
• Provide hands-on support to ensure vehicles are cleaned and ready for delivery.
• Lead by example in customer service and issue resolution.
• Complete branch reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles meet Compass standards.
• Collaborate with the Senior Branch Manager to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure safety, compliance and cleanliness across the branch.

• Coordinating the preparation, delivery, return, and maintenance of Compass vehicles

WhatYou’llBring

• Previousexperience managing or leading a small team (preferred)
• Strong communication,logistics, and problem-solving skills
• High levelof computer literacy and confidence using multiple systems
• Strong administration and time management ability
• Experience in the rental, fleet, or vehicle industry (advantageous)
• Understanding oflogisticsin the motor trade, smash repair, or dealerships (ideal but not essential)
