Job summary

Flick Anticimex is seeking a Branch Manager based in Mackay to lead our Mackay and Emerald operations. You will own branch performance, drive service delivery, and grow the business with a hands-on, customer-focused leadership style.

You will develop a high-performing team, manage budgets and P&L, and partner with regional leadership to implement strategic initiatives while maintaining safety and compliance across divisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in Branch Manager or equivalent leadership role.
• Strong commercial acumen with budget and profitability experience.
• Proven track record in building high-performing teams.
• Experience in pest control, facilities services, hygiene, or related industries preferred.

Flick Anticimex is seeking an experienced and driven Branch Manager to lead our Mackay and Emerald operations. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a growing business unit, lead a high-performing team, and drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.

Based in our Mackay branch, with regular travel to our Emerald depot, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the branch across our Commercial Pest, Residential Pest, Pre-Construction and Hygiene divisions.

About the Role

As the Branch Manager, you will have full accountability for branch performance, including operational delivery, financial results, team leadership, customer satisfaction, and business growth.

You will lead and develop a diverse team while ensuring the branch consistently achieves performance targets, maintains high service standards, and operates safely and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of branch operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
• Drive branch profitability through effective management of revenue, expenses, and overall P&L performance.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Execute strategies to achieve branch growth targets across all business divisions.
• Monitor and improve key operational metrics including service completion rates, scheduling efficiency, SMART compliance, retention, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and operational standards.
• Manage workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high retention and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Work closely with regional leadership to execute business plans and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee branch assets, including fleet, equipment, inventory, and facilities.
• Analyse business performance and provide regular reporting on operational and financial outcomes.
• Lead problem resolution and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer and employee experiences.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a motivated leader who:

• Has proven experience leading teams in an operational, service, or field-based environment.
• Brings a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Service Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Demonstrates strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability, and business performance.
• Has a track record of successfully leading and developing teams.
• Understands the importance of customer retention, service quality, and operational efficiency.
• Is highly organised and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Possesses strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
• Leads by example and thrives in a hands-on leadership role.
• Has experience within the pest control, facilities services, hygiene, trade services, or related industries (highly regarded but not essential).
• Holds a tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Operations, or a related discipline (desirable but not essential).
