Job summary

The Jaybro Group in Mackay is seeking a commercially driven Branch Manager to lead our Mackay location. You will own the P&L and drive profitable revenue growth across sales, service, warehousing and last-mile delivery for the region.

Reporting to the State Business Manager, you will lead a high-performing team, manage budgets and forecasting, and champion safety, operational excellence and strong customer partnerships in a fast-paced, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within the infrastructure, construction, or related industry.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgets, forecasting and overall performance.
• People leadership capability to coach, mentor and develop high‑performing teams.
• Strong safety focus and ability to promote a safe, compliant workplace.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with a customer-first approach.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills with interpersonal strength.
• Technology and systems capability with CRM and business systems; Salesforce and SAP experience preferred.

We are looking for a Branch Manager to lead our Mackay location. Reporting to the State Business Manager.

In this Full-time Monday to Friday role, you will be responsible for delivering profitable revenue growth across sales, customer service, warehousing, and last-mile delivery for the region. This role is focused on driving market share, margin expansion, customer retention, and operational performance in the respective region.

Responsibilities

• Own the P&L and drive growth, delivering strong commercial performance across customers, products, pricing and sales mix.

• Lead a high-performing team, building an A-player culture across sales, customer service, warehouse, transport and operations.

• Drive operational excellence, ensuring efficient order-to-delivery, inventory, logistics and workforce management.

• Build strong customer partnerships, developing relationships with customers, contractors and project partners to drive retention and growth.

• Manage financial and supply chain performance, including budgets, forecasting, wages, stock availability, inventory turns and cost control.

• Champion safety and continuous improvement, maintaining high HSEQ standards while identifying opportunities to improve customer experience, productivity and branch performance.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experiencewithin the infrastructure, construction, or related industry.

• Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing P&L, budgets, forecasting, and overall business performance.

• People leadership capability, with a proven ability to lead, coach, mentor and develop high-performing sales and operations teams.

• Strong safety focus, with the ability to maintain and promote a safe, compliant working environment.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a customer-first approach and the ability to work effectively across teams.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, supported by excellent interpersonal and negotiation capabilities.

• Technology and systems capability, with experience using CRM and business systems; Salesforce and SAP experience preferred.
