Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Melbourne‑area branch operations within the Trench Safety division, driving performance and delivering exceptional service across diverse projects.

You will coach and develop a high‑performing team, manage branch finances, and partner with the Sales team to grow existing accounts and win new business while upholding a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a branch, operations, service, rental, construction, industrial or related environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to drive sales and operational performance.
• Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day operations of the branch to drive productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Working closely with our Sales team to grow existing accounts, win new business and maximise opportunities.
• Coaching, developing and motivating a high-performing team while managing recruitment, performance and employee engagement.
• Managing branch financial performance, reporting, inventory and fleet utilisation.
• Overseeing workshop, yard and equipment operations to ensure efficiency and service excellence.
• Championing a strong safety culture through compliance, training, incident management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service that supports our commitment to improving customer experience.
