Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Vendor Manager for the Books category in Australia. You will own the category P&L, drive growth, and build strategic relationships with supplier partners to expand the catalog and accelerate revenue.

You will work cross-functionally with marketing, finance, supply chain, Amazon Ads, and external vendors, using data-driven insights to inform decisions and optimize profitability. The role requires full-time in-office presence at our CBD Sydney location, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience considered.
• 7+ years in account management, project/program management, or buying experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the category P&L, analyze opportunities to meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Act as primary new business developer for assigned categories/brands, forecast and report on prospects and terms.
• Drive selection expansion to maximize Amazon's business and profitability.
• Champion customer needs through data-driven insights and implement site features that improve the shopper experience.
• Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships; onboard vendors and transition to category teams.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration and communicate effectively with stakeholders; meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrate industry knowledge of seasonality and trends; monitor competitor developments.
• Prioritize tasks and operate in both tactical and strategic modes.
