Job summary

atWork Australia seeks a Manager, Business Intelligence to lead a national BI function. Based in any location, this 12-month contract role combines leadership, commercial insight, and technical expertise to deliver high-impact reporting and analytics that influence executive decisions and business performance.

You will lead a team of five, develop dashboards, drive data governance, and partner with Finance and Operations to enable strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in BI, analytics or data management leadership roles.
• Advanced SQL and data modelling capabilities.
• Experience with Databricks and modern data platforms.
• Proven people leadership experience, including building high-performing teams.
• Strong stakeholder management with executive influence.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Customer-focused mindset balancing strategy and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the BI function across atWork Australia, directing a team of 5 direct reports.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Drive data quality, governance and a single source of truth approach.
• Partner with Finance, Operations and Executive stakeholders to support commercial outcomes.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis activities.
• Prioritise BI initiatives and manage competing business requirements.
• Provide advanced analytics and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Mentor and develop BI team members and foster a customer-focused culture.
• Support ongoing innovation, process improvement and data maturity across the business.
