Job summary

Endeavour Group's ALH Hotels Merchandise team seeks a Category Manager - Trade to shape the 6–18 month strategy for our on-premise beverage offer. The role focuses on data-driven growth, profitability, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Based in Melbourne or Sydney in a hybrid arrangement, you’ll lead promotions, pricing negotiations, and supplier partnerships while mentoring a team and maintaining strong financial tracking.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of category management, promotions, and/or product marketing experience in a fast-paced commercial environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong commercial acumen with on-premise market fundamentals, P&L management, and negotiation skills.
• Experience in data analysis, market research, and translating data into commercial strategies.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and inspire teams with a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and execution of the 6-18 month category strategy for the ALH Value proposition.
• Own and drive category sales, margins and profitability against budget with financial tracking.
• Drive category performance through strategic promotions and accurate forecasting.
• Lead trading terms and pricing negotiations with stakeholders.
• Cultivate supplier partnerships and manage on-premise occasions activations.
• Mentor direct reports and foster a collaborative guest-centric culture.
