Job summary

Endeavour Group is seeking a Category Manager - Trade to shape the six to 18 month strategy for our ALH Value proposition. You’ll own growth, promotions, and supplier partnerships, driving profitability across on-premise beverages in a hybrid role based in Melbourne or Sydney.

You’ll lead teams, manage trading terms, and translate data into actionable plans, collaborating across functions to deliver guest-centric experiences and sustainable results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in category management, promotions, and/or product marketing in a fast-paced, dynamic commercial environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Exceptional commercial acumen with strong understanding of on-premise market fundamentals, proven P&L management, and strong negotiation/relationship-building skills.
• Experience in data analysis, market research, and translating complex consumer/sales data into actionable commercial strategies.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams with a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, slide presentations, and relevant analytical software tools.
• Experience in hospitality or on-premise businesses and familiarity with category management software tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and execution of the 6–18 month category strategy for the ALH Value proposition and align goals with teams and suppliers.
• Own and drive category sales, margins, and profitability against budget with regular financial tracking.
• Drive category performance through strategic promotions, accurate forecasting, and post-promotional reviews.
• Lead trading terms and pricing negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Cultivate strategic supplier partnerships and lead programs to unlock on-premise opportunities and cost-out initiatives.
• Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering a collaborative, guest-centric team culture.
