Job summary

Okendo is seeking a forward-thinking Back-End Developer to help build scalable, elegant software for a high-growth ecommerce platform. You will work with the Co-Founder/CTO and development team to shape product vision and requirements, owning the back-end and participating in architecture and planning sessions.

You will collaborate with an experienced team to rapidly iterate new features while improving existing systems, using a lean JS stack and modern tooling in a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages.
• Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript and Vue.js is highly desirable.
• Understanding of software architecture and lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision and development requirements with the CTO.
• Own the back-end to ensure scalable, elegant, performant software.
• Participate in architecture and product planning sessions.
• Rapidly iterate development while improving current systems.
