Job summary

Okendo is seeking a forward-thinking Back-End Developer to join our team in Sydney. You will define the product vision with the CTO, own the back-end architecture, and build scalable, high-performance services.

The role offers exposure to a fast-growing, ecommerce-focused startup with meaningful equity and opportunities to travel for company events. You will work with Node.js, TypeScript and Vue.js within a lean JavaScript stack, collaborating across product planning and architecture discussions

Qualifications

• Experience with an object-oriented programming language; Node.js, TypeScript and Vue.js a major plus.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms is beneficial.
• Experience with APIs, querying databases and writing elegant code comes naturally.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision and development requirements with the Co-Founder/CTO and team.
• Own the back-end to ensure scalable, elegant, and performant software.
• Participate in software architecture and product planning sessions.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to rapidly iterate new development while improving current systems.
