Job summary

Okendo is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to build the customer marketing platform used by 16,000+ Shopify brands. You’ll work across Vue, Angular, and React on embeddable widgets and merchant tools in a fully remote team, using TypeScript end-to-end on a modern AWS serverless stack.

As a senior engineer you’ll ship features, mentor peers, and help evolve our frontend architecture while collaborating with product, design, and backend engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional frontend experience building production applications.
• Hands-on with at least one modern framework (Vue, Angular, or React) and ability to ramp quickly across the other two.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Track record shipping high-quality, tested frontend code in a team.
• Experience with a serverless stack and AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Build frontend features across Vue-based widgets, Angular admin tools, and React Shopify integrations.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to design and implement solutions.
• Write clean, well-tested TS code and uphold high standards.
• Break down problems into shippable tasks with estimates and plans.
• Own features end to end: design, build, test, deploy, and monitor in production.
• Participate in frontend architecture discussions as the platform scales.
• Mentor other engineers and help raise the technical bar.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on serverless AWS APIs and data flows.
