Job summary

Financeable, a fast-growing fin-tech startup in Melbourne, seeks a senior backend engineer to shape the next phase of our platform. You will work across TypeScript/Node and Go, build APIs/SDKs, and explore AI-driven features while touching Electron and React apps.

Expect broad ownership across the stack in a small, energetic team. We value curiosity about tooling (Claude/Codex/Amp/Cursor/OpenCode), strong observability, and IaC culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a developer.
• Extensive TypeScript/Node experience; Go knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with observability tools; OTEL and Honeycomb.io valued.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience to provision infra via IaC tools.
• Experience with API management, versioning and documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Integrate AI into our broker platform.
• Build APIs and SDKs and integrate with commercial partners.
• Contribute to Electron desktop and React web applications.
• Develop UI automation over websockets/CDP.
• Improve durable event-driven pipelines and Inngest usage.
• Provision infrastructure across AWS and Cloudflare.
