Job summary

Okendo is seeking a forward-thinking Back-End Developer to join our Sydney team. You'll own backend scalability, work with the Co-Founder/CTO, shape product requirements, and iteratively improve systems with a talented team.

Proficiency in object-oriented languages, Node.js, TypeScript and Vue.js, plus familiarity with APIs, databases and cloud platforms, will help you thrive. We offer significant equity, a modern MacBook Pro, and a great WeWork location near Martin Place.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with an object-oriented programming language and backend development.
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript and Vue.js is a major plus.
• Familiarity with software architecture and lifecycle of software development.
• Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and database querying is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision and development requirements with the Co-Founder/CTO and development team.
• Own the backend to ensure scalability, elegance, and performance.
• Participate in software architecture and product planning sessions.
• Rapidly iterate new development while improving current systems with the team.
