Automated Warehouse Specialist

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will act as the vital bridge between Operations, IT, and Maintenance, monitoring, coordinating, and optimising automated warehouse operations at our new glass remanufacturing site in Yatala.

Shift pattern: 8-hour shift. 5 days on/5 days off (options for fixed daytime shift, afternoon shift or night shift).

Training provided during the commissioning phase.

Multiple roles on offer.

What you will do

• Command the automation: Monitor and optimise ASRS, WMS/WCS, and AGV systems to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
• Be the problem solver: Tackle system exceptions like mis-scans, stuck totes, and blocked AGVs with precision and speed.
• Drive performance: Propose layout/process enhancements to reduce congestion and downtime.
• Act as the subject matter expert: Train frontline teams and act as the go‑to expert for all things automation.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally: Work closely with IT, Maintenance, and Operations to keep systems running smoothly.

What you will bring

• Previous experience with automated warehouse systems or logistics coordination (a mechatronic engineer degree is advantageous).
• Tech‑savvy mindset with strong problem‑solving skills and a knack for troubleshooting.
• Exposure to SCADA/PLC systems and continuous production environments is desirable.
• Knowledge of SAP, transport management, warehouse control systems and warehouse management systems.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, inventory control, stock movement, and dispatch processes, with a strong understanding of integration with WMS.
• Team player who communicates well and works collaboratively.
• Proactive and always looking for ways to improve processes.
