Premium International Retail Brand in Sydney is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a high-volume outlet at Homebush DFO. This hands-on role focuses on visible leadership, staff development and day-to-day performance to deliver outstanding customer experiences and strong commercial results.

You will coach a diverse team, manage recruitment and performance, and ensure stores meet standards in service, visuals, stock control and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail management or supervisory leadership position.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of 10+ people.
• Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced or outlet retail environment is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine relationships with customers and team members.
• A commercially minded approach with an understanding of sales, performance and operational standards.
• Confident coaching and developing people, with a genuine interest in helping others succeed.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in the leadership and performance of a high-volume retail outlet at Homebush DFO. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, developing people and taking ownership of the day-to-day performance of a busy store. You will play an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while supporting commercial performance, team engagement and operational standards.

Day-to-Day

• Partner with the Store Manager to drive store sales, profitability and overall performance.
• Lead, coach and develop a diverse retail team, helping individuals reach their potential and preparing high performers for future opportunities.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management and succession planning across the team.
• Create an engaging customer environment through consistently high standards of service and leadership.
• Monitor store standards, operational procedures and loss prevention practices.
• Work closely with the team to maximise commercial opportunities, including promotional activity and key trading periods.
• Maintain strong visual and merchandise presentation standards across the store.
• Oversee daily stock activity, replenishment, transfers and floor changes.
• Use commercial awareness and customer feedback to identify opportunities to improve sales and performance.
• Act as a positive role model for professionalism, presentation, teamwork and customer service.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail management or supervisory leadership position.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of 10+ people.

SALARY

$74,000 + Super + Commissions
