Job summary

Retailworld Resourcing partners with an iconic global retailer to recruit an Area Manager to lead NSW stores across a multi-site portfolio. This role focuses on coaching Store Managers, driving sales, and delivering consistently exceptional store experiences.

You will analyse commercial and customer metrics to identify opportunities and implement clear action plans, while leading workforce planning and rostering across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multiple retail locations or a cluster of stores.
• Strong commercial acumen with data interpretation skills.

We’re partnering with an iconic global retailer to find an Area Manager to lead a portfolio of stores across NSW. This is an opportunity for a commercially sharp, people-first retail leader who loves developing Store Managers, driving performance and creating consistently exceptional store experiences.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching and developing Store Managers to build high-performing, accountable teams
• Driving sales, profitability, productivity and customer experience across your portfolio
• Analysing commercial, operational and customer metrics to identify opportunities and create clear action plans
• Conducting regular store visits, leadership conversations and business reviews
• Supporting workforce planning, labour management and effective rostering across the portfolio
• Building leadership capability and identifying high-potential talent for future succession

You’ll ideally bring:

• Experience leading multiple retail locations, a cluster of stores or a significant high-volume retail operation
• Strong commercial acumen with confidence interpreting sales, wage, productivity and performance data
• A genuine passion for coaching, developing and elevating retail leaders
• The ability to influence performance through others and hold people accountable
• Strong operational capability across workforce planning, stock, customer experience and store standards
• A collaborative leadership style and confidence partnering with senior and cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience within fashion, apparel, specialty or another fast-paced customer-led retail environment
• The agility to move between strategic thinking and being present within stores
