Job summary

Bunnings Group in Australia is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to steer daily store operations, sales, and high-volume stock management with a 180+ team. You’ll report to the Site Manager and collaborate with Department Managers, Supervisors, and distribution centres to support growth in the local area.

You will drive performance against KPIs, safety, and customer experience while developing teams and implementing merchandising and stock processes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of 50+ and delivering a safe, engaged, high-performance operation.
• Experience in retail or large, high-volume customer-focused organisation.
• Ability to coach and develop Department Managers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 50+ direct reports and oversee store opening/closing on weekdays and weekends.
• Monitor department performance, safety walks, audits, and coaching on risk and safety.
• Drive stock accuracy, stocktakes, investigations into discrepancies and overall store stock management, while driving sales.
