Job summary

Hyatt Regency Sydney is seeking an Assistant Manager for Sailmaker Restaurant & Event Operations to oversee events, service, and team performance. You will supervise associates, train staff, and drive guest satisfaction across a premium hotel venue in Darling Harbour.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences in a busy, high-demand setting.

Qualifications

• Management experience in a large hotel/venue.
• Buffet, catering and la carte dining experience preferred.
• Strong service orientation and hospitality standards knowledge.
• Hands-on leadership with ability to motivate teams.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Excellent organizing and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day supervision and management of associates.
• Coordinate all aspects of the department's operation for seamless service.
• Oversee initial and ongoing training and development of staff.
• Ensure adherence to hotel and HACCP policies & procedures.
• Liaise with key departments to foster collaboration.
• Handle client queries and complaints with professionalism.
