Job summary

Hyatt Regency Sydney is seeking a Full Time Assistant Manager to lead the Events Service team and oversee smooth delivery of large-scale events. You will train staff, maintain guest satisfaction and ensure policy compliance in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, service excellence and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on, collaborative approach. NSW RSA and Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• Management experience in Events and/or Banquets Operations in a large hotel/venue.
• Strong service orientation and guest experience focus.
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid NSW RSA certification.
• Unrestricted, valid Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day leadership, supervision and management of associates in the Events Service department.
• Coordinate all aspects of the department's operation to ensure a seamless flow from start to finish.
• Manage the training and development of all team members throughout tenure.
• Ensure all hotel and HACCP policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain strong client relationships and clearly communicate specifications.
• Foster collaboration across hotel departments, including Culinary and Event Planning.
• Handle client queries and complaints with professionalism and understanding.
