Job summary

The Regal Inn Tenambit is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager to lead daily operations, on-shift leadership and guest service excellence in the Newcastle region. You will work closely with the General Manager to drive a high-performing team and uphold venue standards.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will recruit, train and mentor staff, manage rosters, resolve customer feedback and ensure a welcoming, professional atmosphere that supports the venue’s growth and reputation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Assistant Manager, you will lead all venue operations while on shift, drive team culture, maintain venue standards to ensure the growth and success of the business

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the venue.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation while on shift.
• Prepare rosters in line with business requirements and approved roster templates.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer feedback, complaints and conflict resolution.

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, train, mentor and develop employees.
• Manage staff performance and behavior in line with staff expectations.
• Review and update staff expectations documents with the General Manager.
• Lead a positive, professional and accountable team culture.
