Job summary

The Royal in Richmond Valley, part of the Casino RSM Group, is seeking a experienced Venue Manager to lead day-to-day operations across gaming, bars, F&B, events and the on-site motel.

Reporting to the Group CEO, you will drive guest experiences, commercial performance and compliance, while developing a high-performing team in a busy, community-focused venue. You will lead with a hands-on approach and build strong community relationships to ensure guests return.

Qualifications

• Experience as Venue Manager, Operations Manager or senior hospitality leader.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong experience across gaming, food & beverage and venue operations.
• Exposure to accommodation or motel operations is highly regarded.
• Understanding of compliance, governance and operational best practices.
• Proven ability to drive revenue growth and business performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on leadership style with a strong customer focus.
• Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Your Opportunity

As Venue Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of The Royal, leading from the front to ensure exceptional guest experiences, strong team engagement and outstanding operational standards across all areas of the business.

The role oversees gaming, bars, food and beverage operations, events and the property's 10-unit motel accommodation, ensuring every part of the guest experience is delivered to the highest standard.

Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance, developing your team, maintaining compliance standards and identifying opportunities to further strengthen The Royal's position within the local market.

This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being visible in the business, empowering teams, building community relationships and creating a venue guests genuinely want to return to.

About You

You are an experienced hospitality leader who combines strong commercial acumen with a genuine passion for people, customer service and community-focused venues.

To be successful, you will bring:
