Job summary

Plaza Premium Lounge in Sydney is seeking a dedicated lounge supervisor to assist with shift operations, supervise staff, ensure quality service, and maintain smooth, profitable outlet performance.

Key duties include training and coaching, coordination of rosters, daily reports, cleanliness checks, handling incidents, guest inquiries, and contributing to continual improvement of the quality management system.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity with overall no less than 5 years’ experience in F&B

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring team performance and ensure duties are carried out during shift.
• Maintain presentation of set-up and products to Company standards for quality and aesthetics.
• Provide on‑the‑job coaching and guidance to staff; manage performance for smooth operations.
• Brief and share learning on product/service changes and service recovery actions.
• Coordinate staff training and development.

Job description

To assist and ensure smooth operational and management of the business outlet during the designated shift. To assist in supervising staff to ensure a smooth, efficient and profitable operation of all outlets. Responsible for the handling of all incidents or emergencies and deploy reinforcement to contain the impact of incidents.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assist in monitoring and ensure team members carry out their duties properly and deliver quality customer services during the designated shift.
• Ensure the presentation of all set-up and products eg. food, beverages, newspaper, magazines, etc, are in accordance to the Company’s standards so that quality, quantity and aesthetics are consistently maintained.
• Provide on-job coaching and guidance to team members, managing their performance to ensure a smooth operation.
• Assist in the timely and detailed briefing sessions for downward communication of product/service changes and for sharing of learning from service recovery actions of the recent past.
• Coordinate team members training and development.
• Assist to handle administration works including team members’ roster and tasks assignments.
• Conduct regular checks of all areas of the lounge to ensure cleanliness and tidiness at all times and the functionality of all facilities.
• Handle all incidents or emergencies, and deploy reinforcement to contain the impact of incidents.
• Handle guest comments, external calls on information, comments or inquiries.
• To cooperate and work in a team for development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the quality management system.
• To take initiative to identify areas for improvement and participate in continual improvement activities.
• To undertake other jobs assigned by Lounge Manager from time to time.
• To prepare Daily consumption and breakage report.
• To maintain stock par level, liaise with Storeroom with requisition orders.
• To prepare daily airline report and send to manager and airlines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity with overall no less than 5 years’ experience in F&B industry
• Strong Knowledge of Food and Beverage
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of managing and leading services and hospitality nature of business or outlet.
• Excellent time management skills and able to work under pressure
• Detail-minded, efficient, well-planned with good business sense
