Job summary

The Haus Group in Australia is seeking an experienced hospitality supervisor to support the Restaurant Manager and Directors in leading a large front-of-house team. You will oversee daily operations, staff performance, and guest service during busy shifts and events.

Responsibilities include coaching, training, and ensuring high standards of presentation, communication, and safety. Weekend work and public holidays are required as part of outer-limit guidelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent with 2+ years relevant experience.
• Proven track record managing a fast-paced restaurant/café/hotel with 15+ FOH staff per shift.
• Excellent English and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the hands-on Restaurant Manager and Directors in team leadership.
• Oversee daily operations, staff management, and service quality.
• Lead and coach a large FOH team to maintain standards during busy periods.
• Coordinate functions, conferences and events with high attention to detail.
• Provide daily handover and commentary to management as requested.
• Maintain high personal presentation and professional conduct.
• Assist with on-site first aid and emergency ward duties as required.

Responsibilities include supporting the hands-on Restaurant Manager and Directors in team leadership, overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and contributing to functions, conferences, and events.

• Efficient multitasking for restaurant operation, maintaining productivity, quality and customer service standards.
• Leadership, coaching, and support for a dynamic FOH team (50+ employees) in a positive, encouraging manner.

Requirements:

• A relevant diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record in managing fast-paced restaurant/café/hotel with strong leadership skills (15+ FOH staff per shift).
• Ability to work and support a team under pressure.
• Experience in overseeing conferences and events with high attention to detail.
• Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
