Job summary

Starbucks Australia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our leadership team. This permanent full-time role (38 hours per week) offers a hands-on leadership path, mentoring a great team, and delivering the Starbucks Experience.

You’ll drive store operations, manage rostering and budgets, contribute to earnings, and enjoy benefits including a 30% partner discount, training, and career progression toward Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Two years’ progressively responsible experience, including at least one year in a customer-facing role.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in store leadership roles, ideally within hospitality or quick service.
• Experience supporting store operations and contributing to financial performance.

Salary: $65,000 to $68,000 per annum + super + allowances (Open to negotiation)

The Opportunity

As an Assistant Store Manager at Starbucks, you’ll play a key leadership role in bringing the Starbucks Experience to life. Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll help lead store operations, develop a high-performing team, and create a welcoming third place for customers and communities.

This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity where you’ll grow your business acumen, coaching capability, and operational expertise while being supported to take the next step in your leadership career.

Job Description

To be a Starbucks Assistant Store Manager

We’d love to hear from people who have:

A minimum of two years’ progressively responsible experience, including at least one year in a customer‑facing role

Strong organisational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills

The ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment

Previous experience in store leadership roles, ideally within the hospitality or quick service restaurant sector

Experience supporting store operations and contributing to financial performance

Exposure to rostering, budgets, and profit & loss (P&L) reports

A proven ability to develop teams and foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment
