Starbucks Australia is seeking a hands-on Assistant Store Manager on a permanent full-time basis at George Street. You will work with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, develop a skilled team, and create a welcoming Third Place for customers and communities.

This hands-on leadership role offers training, mentoring, and clear pathways to advancement, including potential progression to Store Manager while enjoying excellent staff benefits and guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ progressively responsible experience, including at least one year in a customer-facing role.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in store leadership roles, ideally within the hospitality or quick service restaurant sector.
• Experience supporting store operations and contributing to financial performance.
• Exposure to rostering, budgets, and profit & loss (P&L) reports.
• Proven ability to develop teams and foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

As an Assistant Store Manager at Starbucks, you’ll play a key leadership role in bringing the Starbucks Experience to life. Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll help lead store operations, develop a high‑performing team, and create a welcoming third place for customers and communities.
