Job summary

Sourdough Kitchen is seeking an experienced Retail Bakery Manager to lead our Seddon, VIC bakery operations. This full-time role oversees daily duties, staff performance, and customer satisfaction to establish the brand as a destination for artisanal baked goods.

You will manage stock, budgets, and sales strategies while ensuring health, safety and hygiene standards across the bakery. A strong leader with passion for quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Cafe Manager or supervisor in a retail/food production environment.
• Knowledge of bakery operations, production processes, and quality standards.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop team members.
• Budgeting, cost control and achieving sales targets.
• Health, safety and food hygiene knowledge; Certificate in Food Safety advantageous.
• Customer service orientation and ability to build relationships.
• Multitasking in a busy environment and organisational skills.
• Financial literacy and cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bakery front-of-house duties.
• Lead, train, supervise and motivate the bakery team for quality and service.
• Manage stock levels, ordering, and waste to improve profitability.
• Monitor sales and implement strategies to reach targets.
