The Role

As Store Manager, you’ll lead daily café operations, creating a welcoming customer experience while ensuring your team delivers efficient, consistent service.

This is a hands‑on position with a strong presence on the floor. You’ll coach team members, manage service flow and take responsibility for sales, labour, stock and wastage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor during busy service periods, coordinating the team to deliver efficient service.
• Train, coach and motivate team members to maintain high service standards.
• Drive sales and achieve store KPIs through product knowledge, upselling and customer engagement.
• Plan rosters and manage labour costs in line with budgets and trading requirements.
• Oversee stock ordering, availability and wastage to maintain quality and control costs.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and use feedback to improve their experience.
• Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, food safety and workplace safety standards.
• Support opening and closing teams to ensure consistent operations throughout the day.

What You Bring

• Experience as a Store Manager, Café Manager, Venue Manager or Hospitality Manager in a busy café, bakery, food retail or similar hospitality environment.
• A hands‑on leadership style, with the ability to coach, motivate and develop a team.
• Experience achieving sales targets and managing labour costs, rosters, stock and wastage.
• A strong customer service focus and a calm, practical approach during busy service periods.
• Clear communication, sound organisational skills and a passion for hospitality.
• Availability for opening and closing shifts, weekends and some public holidays.
