Job summary

Abe & Gizelle Patisserie is seeking a skilled baker to join our Clyde, NSW catering facility. You will prepare and bake a variety of breads, rolls, and pastries to the highest quality standards, overseeing the full baking process from shaping dough to baking, cooling, icing, and decorating.

You will work efficiently to ensure all customer and catering orders are completed on time while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and cost controls.

Qualifications

Certificate III in bakery or 2+ years of relevant working experience if no qualification
Experience preparing and baking bread, rolls and pastries to high standards
Ability to follow health and safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of high quality bread, rolls, and pastries
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment checks are completed before every shift
Follow health and safety guidelines with care and in a professional manner
Weigh and measure ingredients accurately, mix and knead dough, operate bakery equipment safely
Oversee the full baking process — from shaping dough to baking, cooling, icing and decorating
Communicate with the Executive Chef to maintain supply levels and support daily operations
Assist in cost controls and supporting profitability
Keep up with industry trends, new recipes, and baking techniques
