Kenilworth Hotel & Brewery in Kenilworth, QLD, seeks a qualified full-time Baker to lead the daily baking and production, craft artisan breads, pastries, pies and desserts, and ensure food safety.

Reporting to Head Chef, you will manage prep, bake cycles, stock control, and maintain HACCP standards, with early morning shifts and weekend work.

Ideal candidate holds Certificate III in Baking or Commercial Cookery, 2+ years in a high-volume bakery, and a commitment to quality.

Qualifikationen

• Hold a relevant qualification — Certificate III in Baking, Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent combination of formal qualification and industry experience.
• Have at least 2+ years of professional hands-on work experience as a Baker in a commercial bakery, cafe, or high-volume hospitality environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in dough preparation, pastry production, oven management, bake cycle control, and decorative finishing (glazing, icing).
• Strong working knowledge of food safety, hygiene protocols, HACCP compliance, and Occupational Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.
• Proven ability to perform efficiently in fast-paced operational environments under pressure.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Willingness to relocate to Kenilworth / Sunshine Coast hinterland region if currently based interstate or in another city.
• Full availability across early mornings, day shifts, weekends, public holidays, and flexibility aligned with venue operating hours.
• Must hold valid Australian work rights at the time of application.

• Plan and execute the daily baking and production schedule to ensure fresh breads, pastries, pies and catering orders are ready before service.
• Prepare doughs, breads, pastries, pies, and cakes and manage bake cycles.
• Decorate cakes, tarts and celebration desserts to a high standard.
• Monitor stock levels and submit accurate ingredient orders within budget.
• Maintain strict food safety, HACCP & WHS compliance across prep and baking areas.
• Assist in onboarding, recruiting and training junior kitchen staff.
