Job summary

Peoplebank, part of RGF Staffing ANZ, is seeking an Application Support Engineer (Level 2/3) for a Federal Government client in Canberra. This is a 12-month contract with two 12-month extensions, located in Canberra, ACT, onsite 5 days a week.

You will provide Level 2/3 support for critical applications at the Australian Passport Office, perform system administration, troubleshooting, deployments, and contribute to SDLC initiatives while collaborating with software teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in application troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and task automation.
• Intermediate T-SQL skills and SQL database experience.
• Experience supporting software development teams and SDLC processes.
• Knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and 3 technical support for business-critical applications.
• Perform systems administration, monitoring, and incident investigation.
• Investigate complex issues and coordinate with vendors when needed.
• Monitor performance and contribute to application availability and reliability.
• Support deployments, patches, testing, and change management.
• Collaborate with software development teams across the SDLC.
• Develop and maintain operations documentation and knowledge bases.
• Participate in BAU activities and continuous improvement projects.
