Job summary

IT Alliance in Canberra is seeking a Systems Administrator / Application Support / Technical Support Engineer for an on-site role. You will provide L2/L3 support, monitor systems, resolve issues and support project testing activities.

Required skills include PowerShell, T-SQL, Windows/Linux admin, ITIL processes and Microsoft certifications. You will be part of a team delivering reliable IT services in a government environment.

Qualifications

Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution for complex customer problems.
Experience with scripting and automation to improve operational efficiency.
Familiarity with ITIL Incident, Problem, Change and Release processes.
Ability to work with software development teams and understand the SDLC.
Proven experience with Microsoft certifications.
Experience with Windows and Linux administration.

Responsibilities

Provide systems administration, monitoring and L2/L3 technical support.
Monitor and report on system health, improve operational availability.
Investigate and resolve technical issues for stakeholders.
Escalate problems with vendors and document in reporting systems.
Support BAU and project activities, including testing.
Install/deploy software updates and patches per procedures.
Create and maintain system and knowledge base documentation.
