Job summary

Seek is seeking a full-time Freight Forwarding Assistant with experience in Import Airfreight to join our team at the Tullamarine Vic office. This on-site role handles day-to-day shipments from start to finish, liaising with airlines, agents and customs brokers.

You will manage shipping documentation, ensure compliance, and provide timely shipment updates while working within a friendly, supportive environment and parking on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience in air imports operations within freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and procedures.
• Reliable and organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import air shipments, manage cargo reporting and compliance.
• Liaise with airlines, agents and customs brokers for movements and queries.
• Ensure timely deliveries, track shipments and address transit issues.
• Conduct checks to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Handle invoicing and process warehouse releases and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and security procedures.
• Resolve issues with suppliers, customers and internal teams.
• Provide regular shipment updates and exceptional customer service.
• Use the in-house system to manage shipments and documentation.
