Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Matraville, Sydney seeks an Air Freight Import Specialist to manage bookings, documentation and customer communications within the Air Freight Import Department.

You will act as primary contact for allocated customers, monitor shipments, respond to queries, and ensure on-time performance while updating the TMS and handling billing. Hybrid work available after onboarding; Australian residency required.

Qualifications

• 12 months freight forwarding experience required.
• Australian resident or valid visa.
• Strong attention to detail in bookings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Act as key contact for allocated customers to create, manage and close job files.
• Respond to customer queries and concerns related to bookings, escalating for resolution as needed.
• Complete bookings and prepare documentation per customer requirements and SOPs in a timely manner.
• Monitor shipment progress to meet customer on-time expectations.
• Update the TMS accurately for shipment milestones and on-time performance.
• Complete all billing requirements, capturing services sold and applying revenue/costs correctly.
• Support in resolving claims and disputes.
